Our Club Facilities

SYC promotes and offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere to its members, their families and guests.

Managed by a Committee comprising of its members, SYC now offers various facilities, these include our Gossip Bar (main bar), Berhala Bar, Wine Bar (upper floor).

The bar, which stocks a range of wines and beers, as well as a selection of non-alcoholic drinks and low-alcohol beers. Food can be ordered from our Caboose (kitchen) at reasonable price. We also equipped our Berhala Bar to facilitate any barbecue party.

Our Sundeck, Wine Bar and Berhala Bar are open for bookings to non-members for their private functions. Please contact the office administrator or our Club Supervisor for details of pricing, availability and reservations for any of your private functions.

Facilities at the Jetty

Toilet and shower facilities up from the jetty. Our visitors will be able to have hot showers.

Refueling

Diesel or petrol currently around RM$1.70 a litre and delivery to the jetty can be arranged for a small additional fee. Yachts must supply their own fuel containers.

Fresh water is also available from the Club water supply system.

Bins for Depositing Rubbish

The Club has placed bins arround the jetty at the landing site.

WiFi and Internet Access

Wifi Access points currently in operation on SYC have been running in the "Open Services" mode. That means in order to connect to it, all you have to do is turn on your computer and WiFi, and connect.

Visitor Fee

SYC Yacht Visitor Fee for 2010 here on Sandakan is RM 100.00 per night per yacht regardless of the length. A daily facilities fee of RM 10.00 is also levied per yacht. You will be given one set of souvenir comprising of one of our Sandakan Yacht Club T-Shirts and one of our Club’s baseball Caps upon registration, free of charge.

The facilities fee charged allows you and your crew to use our Club’s basic facilities like our jetty, swimming pool, Wi-Fi, toilet, hot water shower, etc. Our club is among the cheapest clubs in and the only club where a yacht can moor just a couple of hundred meters away from our bar deck.
